Rapid to Revenue

What Is Rapid to Revenue™?

The US Government is one of the largest markets in the world for security related technologies. The growth in the number and sophistication of Cyber Security threats promises to expand that market even more over the coming years. While this should be good news to early stage security technology companies around the world, the problem has always been the difficulty in gaining access to this market.

US Government rules and regulations concerning foreign (non-US) ownership, foreign development, technical certification, security clearances, and procurement regulations make this market a daunting challenge for both US and non-US companies alike.

The Rapid to Revenue™ program is a unique offering designed and implemented through a partnership of over a dozen IT services and engineering firms specializing in the US Government market.

Security Technology

This program provides innovative security technology companies a cost effective, proven methodology that:

  • Quickly and cost effectively assesses the US Government opportunity for your company’s product(s) through a team of industry experts
  • Helps to identify any deficiencies or requirements that may need to be addressed in order to be successful in this market
  • Provides a path to mitigate any FOCI (Foreign Ownership, Control or Influence) issues

If the STI team believes your product has strong potential for success, at no cost to your company we can provide:

  • Access to capital to fund any product adaptation, testing, and or certification that may be required by the US Government
  • Access to US Government cleared engineering and technical support contractors ready to take on those adaptation, testing, and local support requirements
  • Access to US Government resellers, OEM’s and integrators to sell and support your products

The Rapid to Revenue™ program was developed to serve two masters. First and most obvious are early stage technology companies with promising technologies but limited financial or marketing resources. The second is the US Government itself. By providing the US Government access to these innovative new technology products from around the globe, we are helping to strengthen our nation’s security.

How does this Program work?

It begins with an email. The Assessment Program lead will then contact you via phone to ask a series of initial questions to help determine if this program is right for you and for your company. If the answer is yes, then you will be provided a non-disclosure agreement and asked to host a Webinar to present your product(s) in detail. Participating in this Webinar will be volunteers that have been chosen for their Government market expertise in your particular technology discipline.

Rapid-to-Revenue1

After the Webinar, the volunteer team meets to discuss the product and opportunity. If the team believes that there is indeed a high probability of success, then you will be provided an assessment proposal. Should you choose to accept this proposal, a team of industry experts will take a specially prepared profile of your product and its capability into select US Government agencies, and technology testing facilities to determine the depth and breadth of the opportunity. Numerous factors will be evaluated in this process including, but not limited to:

  • The relevance of the technology to Government mission requirements
  • Existing competition – both commercial and Government developed technology
  • Certification or standards requirements
  • Determination of likely adaptation or modification requirements
  • The size of the product market opportunity (one agency or many)

If the response to this effort is indeed positive, meaning one or more product test and evaluation candidates have been identified, we will include in the assessment report, a plan for recommended next steps which could include:

  • Product licensing to mitigate FOCI (Foreign Ownership Control or Influence) issues
  • Product adaptation, testing and or certification
  • Capital investment to cover the costs of product adaptation and US market entry

Who should be interested in this program?

Both US and non-US Security related technology companies who have products they believe could be of value to the US Government market. Please note that the product must be at a minimum in beta test or otherwise commercially available. The reason for this is that most successful assessments lead initially to a Government test and evaluation contract. For this we need access to the product for testing.

What does this program cost?

There is a nominal fee for the assessment contract. All other costs are incurred by the STI partners and or supported by the Capital Fund.
